About Sylvia Newman Garden Design Ltd

Sylvia Newman Garden Design Ltd has emerged as a garden design company with a reputation for creating stylish gardens to suit all tastes and budgets. Our portfolio ranges from commissions for private and commercial clients for gardens and spaces of all sizes, to overseas projects, including Presidential palaces.

Sylvia Newman started the company in 2000, and during the last three years, a new business model has been adopted. This family run business is now co-owned by Sylvia and son, Ed - representing the younger generation! The company is run from The Old Granary in Westwick.

The company has in-house building capability and has three skilled construction teams to bring projects to life. Our complete service offers design and build through to creative maintenance, and provides for garden structures, swimming pools, ponds, lighting and irrigation schemes as well as our own coveted signature planting designs. We have our own dedicated Landscape Architecture facility for public spaces as well as having strong links with other professional bodies including architects, structural engineers and surveyors. We have worked with Planning and Conservation bodies. Our strong plant knowledge combines to bring a complete service to each of our clients.

Over the years, our design ethos has remained true to our original principles. Good design is achieved by working with scale and proportion within each space, regardless of the size or shape. Each of our designs will reflect our client's use of the space. It will have a good fit with the surrounding area and planting schemes will reflect the same principles. Our excellent in-house Project Management Team ensures each of our designs are interpreted as intended at each stage of construction.
